Respawn, the developer of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is releasing a patch this week to address several issues that have plagued the game since its launch last month. The patch is expected to fix a number of bugs on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 consoles.
Console Fixes
Console players can expect several bug fixes in this patch. The HDR value mismatch issue that caused HDR setups to display incorrectly for PS5 users is one major issue being addressed. Both Xbox Series X|S and PS5, users can also expect various crash fixes, and a “severe” animation issue that caused the game to break during critical narrative sequences.
PC Fixes
PC players have had a rougher time with the game, and Respawn is targeting several fixes for the platform. The updates will focus on performance, with improvements being made to CPU and GPU utilization, as well as raytracing and data handling. A note for PC players is that performance improvements for newer i7 and i9 CPUs that have efficiency cores will be coming with another patch in the future.
Issues
Since the game launched, players have experienced a variety of issues, including a bug that caused players to lose XP permanently, missing preorder items, and generally shoddy performance on all platforms. Electronic Arts, the game’s publisher, has promised to continue working on fixes for these issues, especially on PC. “We are aware that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor isn’t performing to our standards for a percentage of our PC players. We are committed to fixing these issues as soon as possible,” said the company in a statement.
