The Poco F5 series is set to launch globally on May 9 with two variants, a base and a Pro edition. Notably, the vanilla Poco F5 5G smartphone will also launch in India on the same day, and it is anticipated to be the successor to the Poco F4 5G, launched last year. Recent reports and leaks about the Poco F5 phone suggest that it may be introduced as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Design and Display
The handset is expected to come in a single 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration and could be offered in Carbon Black and Ice Feather White color options, as per a report by MEFMobile, citing tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz). The design renders highlights show that the Poco F5 handset features a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout on top of the display that shows thin bezels. The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge, while the USB Type-C port, speaker grilles, and main microphone can be found at the bottom edge. The back panel houses the rectangular camera module at the top left corner, containing the triple rear cameras along with an LED flash.
The Poco F5 5G is anticipated to sport a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

On the other hand, the Poco F5 Pro 5G is expected to be similar to the Redmi K60, which also launched in China last year. As per earlier reports, the model may be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with RAM of up to 12GB and 256GB of inbuilt storage. The triple camera unit is anticipated to comprise of a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The handset is likely to be backed by a 5,160mAh battery unit with 67W fast charging support.
