Poco India has confirmed the availability of its upcoming Poco F5 5G smartphone and its key specifications ahead of the May 9 launch.
Colour Options and Availability
The Poco F5 5G will be offered in two colours: Carbon Black and Snowstorm White. It will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart from May 9, 5:30 PM IST.
Base Variant Specs
The base model of the Poco F5 5G will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. The phone will be powered by the new 4nm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 5G chipset. It boasts an AnTuTu score of nearly a million.
Display and Design
The phone will feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel of the smartphone has a 93% scree-to-body ratio with a very narrow bezel. It also has a centre-aligned hole-punch slot to house the front camera at the top of the display. The camera modules at the back of the phone are marked by a turbine-like design.
Camera Specs
The triple rear camera unit of the Poco F5 5G India variant will include a 64-megapixel primary sensor. It will also have an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. The front camera will have a 16-megapixel sensor.
Battery
The phone is expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with 67W fast charging support.
Operating System
The phone is likely to boot Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.
According to earlier leaks, the Poco F5 5G is likely to be a rebranded Redmi K60 and this is expected to make a similar impact on the Indian market as its previous products.
Poco’s pricing strategy has always been aggressive in India, known to offer premium features at an affordable range. The Poco F5 5G is expected to follow suit. The company is sure to strike a chord with the Indian audience with its pricing, specifications and features.
