Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo is gearing up to launch its new 5G smartphone – the Oppo A1 5G. The product has been spotted on Geekbench, TENNA, and China Telecom, with listings revealing some of the upcoming smartphone’s key specifications.
What to expect?
The Oppo A1 5G will feature a Snapdragon 695 SoC and is set to run Android 13 right out of the box. It will come with a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display screen. The phone will debut in three colours – Cabernet Red Orange, Sea Blue, and Sandstone Black. The RAM variants will include 12GB and 8GB, with the storage capacity at 256GB. Additionally, the phone will have a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an LED flash, while the front camera will have an 8-megapixel capability.
Due to its specifications, the Oppo A1 5G is positioned to be an affordable 5G phone with an expected price range at around CNY 2,099 (approx Rs. 25,075) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model while the 12GB RAM + 256 storage model will cost CNY 2,299 (approx Rs. 27,460).

Tech enthusiasts got a peek of the Oppo A1 5G on Twitter recently, with user Prince Maurya (@TechStyle_47) sharing screenshots of the smartphone’s listing on Geekbench and TENNA certification websites. The listing showed that the smartphone received a single-core score of 688 and a multi-core score of 2045. There are suggestions that the phone will also be an octacore Qualcomm chipset, potentially being an Octacore 695 SoC based on the scores given by Geekbench.
What does TENNA say?
TENNA also added a few features to the list, such as the phone’s 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will get 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants and will be powered by a 4,880mAh battery, though there are no details on the phone’s charging support.
