Motorola is reportedly developing a new foldable smartphone as per a listing on China’s Compulsory Certification (3C) website.
Moto Razr+ in the making
The upcoming device, with model number XT2321-1, is expected to be called the Motorola Razr+. The 3C listing suggests 5G connectivity and support for 33W fast charging. Additionally, recent leaks suggest a 2.7-inch external display and a 3,640mAh battery on the foldable smartphone.
Successor to Moto Razr 2022
The Motorola Razr+ is likely to succeed 2022’s Moto Razr, which was launched in China last year. The latter features a foldable OLED main display measuring 6.7 inches and a 2.7-inch OLED outer cover display. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, it comes in up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage options. A dual rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor, a 32-megapixel front camera and Dolby Atmos surround speakers are the other key features of Moto Razr 2022, backed by a 3,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Xiaomi has the Mi MIX Fold, featuring an 8.01-inch WQHD+ foldable internal display and a 6.5-inch external AMOLED screen. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and is powered by a 5020mAh battery, although there is no 5G connectivity yet.
