The Future of Lord of the Rings Online
Despite being around for 16 years, Lord of the Rings Online maintains its popularity. Its loyal player base continues to grow, and the game recently hit a 10-year player peak on Steam during last year’s 15-year anniversary celebrations.
Looking to the future, a new expansion is planned for the second half of this year, taking players to the southern regions of Middle-earth. Additionally, class refreshes and gameplay updates are expected throughout the year, with more seasonal events in the works.
