HTC Unveils Wildfire E2 Play with Quad Rear Cameras and 4,600mAh Battery: Check out the Price and Specifications

The Taiwanese tech company HTC has launched its new entry-level smartphone, the HTC Wildfire E2 Play, in Africa. This latest offering from HTC features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T606 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The HTC Wildfire E2 Play is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery that can provide music playback time of up to 19 hours on a single charge. The phone is available in two colour options, namely Black and Blue.

Price and Availability

At present, HTC has not disclosed any information regarding the pricing and availability of the HTC Wildfire E2 Play in Africa. The smartphone is being offered exclusively in Black and Blue colour options through HTC’s official website in Africa. As of yet, there is no news about the international availability of the device.

Notably, the HTC Wildfire E2 Plus was launched in 2021 with a price tag of RUB 12,990 (roughly Rs. 13,400) for its sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

Specifications of HTC Wildfire E2 Play

The HTC Wildfire E2 Play has a dual-SIM (Nano) configuration and runs on Android 12. The device is equipped with a 6.82-inch HD+ (720×1,640 pixels) display and has a water-drop style notch display to house the selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by an Unisoc T606 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM. There is also 128GB of onboard storage that is expandable via a microSD card (up to 256GB).

For photos and videos, the HTC Wildfire E2 Play boasts a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone also features an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front that comes with an f/2.2 lens.

Connectivity options on the HTC Wildfire E2 Play include Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi:802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for easily unlocking the screen, in addition to an AI-backed face unlock feature.

The HTC Wildfire E2 Play is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery that provides up to 19 hours of music playback and up to 11 hours of video playback time on a single charge. Furthermore, the phone measures 174.2×78.6×9.3mm and weighs 210 grams.
