Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong has been delayed yet again, much to the disappointment of fans eagerly anticipating its release. The highly anticipated follow-up to 2017’s Hollow Knight was initially slated for launch in 2020, before being pushed back to the first half of 2023.

Team Cherry marketing and publishing representative Matthew Griffin took to Twitter to address the delay: “We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We’re excited by how the game is shaping up, and it’s gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.”

While fans may be disappointed by the delay, Griffin reassured them that the team’s priority is to deliver a game that meets their exacting standards: “We want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.”

From Hornet’s Perspective
Hollow Knight: Silksong follows the journey of Hornet, a fan favorite NPC in the original game. As the princess-protector of Hallownest, Hornet is no stranger to dangerous situations. Still, her journey in Silksong is an entirely new adventure, bringing with it an array of challenges and obstacles to overcome.

Despite this, Team Cherry has remained tight-lipped about any specifics regarding the release window, leaving fans to wait on further news with bated breath.
