Fortnite Collaborates with Star Wars to Add Force Powers, Mini Battle Pass, and Free Skin

Epic Games and Lucasfilm are collaborating on a three-week event in Fortnite called “Find the Force”. This event, which takes place from May 4th to May 23rd, will focus on the prequel trilogy and feature new skins, gameplay elements, and rewards in Battle Royale.

Skins and Rewards

The item shop in Fortnite has already been updated with four new Star Wars skins: Anakin, Padme, and a pair of Clone Troopers: the 501st Trooper and a 212th Battalion Trooper. In addition, players can unlock skins for Darth Maul and four other clone troopers by completing Find the Force quests.

To participate in the Find the Force event, players will need to complete event quests and earn Galactic Reputation to level up their reward track. Similar to a battle pass, there are both free and paid tracks, with the premium track costing 1,000 V-Bucks to unlock. The basic Clone Trooper skin is the final reward on the free track, while the Coruscant Guard skin is the first reward on the premium track. The final premium reward is the Darth Maul skin, and players can earn other cosmetics along the way on both the premium and free tracks.

Completing at least 12 quests from each of the three main quest groups will earn players the Sith Infiltrator glider. There will also be a fourth wave of quests that won’t help players earn the glider but will assist in completing the reward tracks.

It is important to note that nothing in the Find the Force event is exclusive to it and, according to Epic Games, all rewards are potentially available for purchase in the item shop later on.

Gameplay Elements

In addition to skins and rewards, Fortnite’s Battle Royale is receiving new gameplay mechanics inspired by Star Wars. Players can get training in the Force by finding Obi-Wan, Anakin, or Darth Maul in-game. Once they complete their training, they receive a lightsaber that matches their teacher’s blade color and Force abilities. Obi-Wan will teach players Force Push, Anakin will teach them Force Pull, and Darth Maul will teach them Force Throw.

Players can use Force powers on both objects and other characters with the exception of Force Throw, which can only be used on objects. The DC-15 rifle is also being added to the game, providing players with a longer-ranged and more accurate option than the standard stormtrooper blaster.

Coruscant’s Pride Wrap and Discord Quest

Completing a new Discord quest will give players the Coruscant’s Pride wrap. To complete this quest, players can either stream Fortnite for 15 minutes to a Discord friend or complete an in-game objective given in the Find the Force text channel on the official Fortnite Discord.

Overall, the Find the Force event offers Star Wars fans an exciting opportunity to engage with their favorite franchise in a unique way. Whether players are looking to add new skins to their collection or try out new gameplay mechanics, the event is sure to entertain and challenge players for weeks to come.
