A new week of Season of Defiance has started in Destiny 2, and players can expect more opportunities to earn XP and Bright Dust. This week’s theme is liberation, and completing every Seasonal Objective will reward players with a bonus stack of Bright Dust.
Week 6 Objectives
Forceful Liberator
Defeat combatants in the Defiant Battlegrounds playlist using Power weapons. Earn bonus progress if they also do Solar damage.
Relentless Liberator
Gain bonus rewards using a Defiant key at the end of Defiant Battlegrounds playlist activities on both Normal and Legend difficulties.
Vexing Liberator
Defeat Vex with seasonal weapons. These are Perpetualis, Prodigal Return, Regnant, Caretaker, Raconteur, and Royal Executioner.
Defiant Crucible Ornament
Acquire the Crucible ornament for Ecliptic Distaff.
Elegant Weaponry
Defeat combatants in Vanguard playlists or Strikes while using a sword, bow, or Glaive.
Absolutely Stunning
Stun Champions.
After completing these tasks, players should equip a sword, bow, or glaive and take on a Vex-infested strike like The Insight Terminus or Hypernet Current to finish two more Seasonal Objectives. Finally, players can grab the Crucible ornament for Ecliptic Distaff from Lord Shaxx and take on a few Champions lurking in Legend lost sectors to complete their Week Six objectives.
Week 1 Challenges
For Week 1, players should focus on completing Defiant Battleground: EDZ to complete the Righteous Defiance objective. Other tasks include Challenger XP, Awaken, Queensguard, and Legion’s Bounty, which involve exploring the new location, using pulse rifles, bows, and trace rifles, and defeating Cabal combatants in Strikes. The PvP mode Rift is also available this week for players to earn XP and Bright Dust.
Week 2 Challenges
This week’s challenges include Against The Shadows, Rohan’s Legacy, and Flourish of Power. Defeating Guardians in Mayhem playlist with Super Abilities is also a task that players can complete. Using close-range weapons and taking on a lost sector on legend difficulty will net players more Challenger XP and Bright Dust. Players can also visit the Cosmodrome and complete bounties, patrols, public events, and lost sectors to level up quickly.
Week 3 Challenges
This week, players can earn three War Table upgrades by completing the latest chapter in the We Stand Unbroken quest, equipping the Strand subclass, and wielding one of the fancy Awoken weapons available during this season. Other tasks include using mid-range weapons in the EDZ, handing out commendations, and teaching the Taken a lesson or two in Gambit. Uprooted Nightmare requires players to complete each encounter in the Root of Nightmares raid.
